Tasting notes：

Nose: The beach at first. Heavy oil. A bit of fish. A hint of sulphur. But the Kilkerran profile—factory, toffee, dust—and delicious red fruit, especially cherry. Syrupy, syrupy cherry. Amarena, or Luxardo brand maraschino. With cooking in the house, the barest sulphur hint turns to garlic: fascinating and not bad. In fresh air: no sulphur, but that cherry note, hint of cola or Angostura. Like the world's best Manhattan.

Palate: Delicious, simply. Better than the world's best Manhattan. Cherry Kilkerran. You feel the strength and the youth in a good way. Not huge on complexity, just bigness and deliciousness. Extremely moreish. More youthful heat with a little water, then softer and sweeter with a little more. Doesn't need water, but it's good to play around.

Finish: Long and good.
