Nose: Interesting and a bit unusual. Damp forest, some umami, sherry, lots of chocolate. Very well integrated alcohol, nothing stings. The distillery character comes through well, you can tell that the Glenturret was not killed by the sherry.
Palate: Really a lot of leather and spice with a lot of oak, then a switch to dark chocolate. Charcoal and removes red dark fruits. Definitely not a fruit bomb.
Finish: old wood, tart, espresso and lots of chocolate again. It even looks a bit smoky with hints of liquorice.
