Nose: First Fill Sherry and you can smell it. Full-bodied, smells thick and creamy.Dried figs and dry sherry but with a splash of alcohol added. Not smoky, but abit of burnt toast. Like walking in an autumn forest.
Palate: Sit back for a moment, because we haven't tasted this in an Edradour beforeThis is roasted grain, black pudding, rye bread, dried mushrooms, fig bread,blue-veined cheese, thick, full and spicy. The sherry cask has added a lot andthe relatively high alcohol content gives it just a little more. What an oldpowerhouse. Mature and complex is perhaps the best name for this topper.
Finish: After 15 minutes, we are still impressed, The flavours we all tasted slowly diedown on the palate. We agree, this is by far the best Edradour we have evertasted.
