Nose: Pleasant, soft and extremely fruity-sweet smell. There is a lot of dark fruit. Cherries, grapes, plums, all rather fresh and juicy. Plus some dried fruit like raisins. A few tropical fruits like peach and passion fruit are very subtle. Fruits are already very dominant here. There are also some Christmas spices such as cinnamon, marzipan and gingerbread spice. I can still make out vanilla and caramel in the distance. At least I think so. A few wood aromas also come forward from time to time.
Palate: A peppery start, spice and fruit determine the action in equal measure. But the pepper and spice doesn't last long. There's a lot of dark fruit here too. Prunes, blackberries, dark grapes, Amarena cherries, you might think the fruits are marinated in a sweet rum and additionally sugared. Very sweet fruity taste. Add some caramel and toffee. A few roasted aromas of coffee and roasted almonds complement the taste very nicely. A few woody aromas come through in the background. The palate flows seamlessly into the finish. Very nicely harmonious and round. Great paints at this point.
Finish: Long finish, again intensely sweet and fruity, warming, coffee, oak spice, a bit bitter at the end, slight bitterness.
