Nose:It needs some time in the glass. But then it has the best sherry aroma I've ever had in a whisky. Incredibly deep, incredibly dark. You practically don't notice the alcohol at all. It is also extremely complex. Notes range from leather, jam, plums, blackcurrant, a little cellar mustiness and overripe peach. With plenty of time you will certainly find more notes.
Palate:The taste confirms what the nose suggested, but with an incomparable intensity. You can now tell that this is a cask strength. Slightly less sweet than on the nose, slightly tart, dark fruits with a distinct leather note dominate.
Finish:It lasts a really long time and even gets a bit fruitier towards the end. The inside of the cheeks in particular retains the aroma forever and rounds off the outstanding experience in a fitting way.
