Nose:A pretty typical, very fruity Benriach nose. Watermelon, peach, sweet pear. Everything is wonderfully woven together. There is also an almond-coconut combination. Somewhat minerally and overall really complex.
Palate:Here too, the fruitiness dominates. Honey, vanilla cream, pears and tangerines. I particularly like Benriach. After more than 30 years in the barrel, you can of course also feel the oak with licorice, dark chocolate and a very subtle pepper note. There are also ginger and complex floral notes, perhaps a little clove. At the end I taste a subtle saltiness and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish:Long, still fruity, oranges, raisins, grapefruit and towards the end more oriental spices - very nice.
