Nose: This is a classic Ardbeg, sweet smoke, a little citrus, creamy, honey sweetness, but there is something more, a little fruit sweetness, apricot, slightly fermented notes, mandarin, a little acidity, then the smoke and the typical aniseed notes come through, slightly earthy, a little chocolatey, a nice interplay, I really like it.
Palate:Really oily, dry, a little sour, strong, smoky, earthy-ashy, aniseed, green notes, thyme, with more air in the bottle everything seems like it has been swirled in honey, apricot notes, a little lime, slight spiciness, a little bitterness, herbs, very delicatet.
Finish:Maritime, sour-tart, aniseed, the acidic note runs through, at the end there is also a bit of malty sweetness, here too the Madeira part comes out much better with more air in the bottle.
