Tasting notes：

Blair Athol 2014 Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition 57.1% 700ml

Nose:  Nougat and dark chocolate. Christmas spices and gingerbread. Plums, ripe cherries. Nuts. Freshly ground coffee. Sherry.

Palate: Peppery, sharp start. Still spicy even with a little water. Something burns on the tongue. Gingerbread. Nuts. Black coffee. Ripe, dark fruits. Dark chocolate. The alcohol gives it oomph, but it's not well integrated. The aromas seem artificial, not deep, which suggests a wet barrel. Cough Syrup. Oak spice, bitter.

Finish: Pepper, oak spice. Bitter chocolate. Short to medium length at best.

Ardmore 2010 Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition 57.1% 700ml

Nose: Blueberry, nougatine, apple, gingerbread, mint and a whiff of peat. Water adds smoked ham.

Palate: Peat, blueberry, gingerbread, apple and nougatine.

Finish: Hazelnut, peat, gingerbread and apple.
