Tasting notes：

Nose: Damp earth, dark, smoked salt chocolate (Storck-Riesen/Konfekt), musty smell in the cellar, warehouse, lovage moments, little sweetness, menthol, eucalyptus, maritime associations: salt water vapor, lobster velouté (really!!!). Bitter orange peel, minty herbs, cough drops (Pullmoll). Old school. Something that reminds you of sulfur, but isn't sulfur. With a few drops of water, the nose becomes more accessible, a little more sweetness, orange zest. Needs air and time. Deep, only reveals itself slowly. You can smell it for hours.

Mouth: Salt salt salt. Smoked salt. Cough syrup, menthol, hardly any sweetness, herbal candy, sauce seasoning (Viennese/Tyrolean seasoning), stock cube, pronounced bitterness, walnut, Worcestershire sauce, bitter orange that you eat with the peel, mustiness, lemon/grapefruit in the last third. Very robust indeed, a little less complex than the nose, but undeniably tightly woven. Sweeter with a little water and broader in texture and mouthfeel.

Finish: Intense and harsh, very long, still coating the tongue the next day. Bitter medicine, a hint of cough syrup, more Pullmoll herbal candy, a slightly metallic note reminiscent of Springbank, (burnt) rocket, aftertaste of lobster soup (again!), smoked salt, hardly any sweetness, acidity of grapefruit.
